The Al-Hasa oasis is the largest oasis in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Al-Ahsa or Al-Hasa is a traditional oasis region in eastern Saudi Arabia. The oasis is located about 60 km inland from the Persian Gulf.Al-Ahsa is part of the region known historically as Al-Bahrayn, which included the eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula down to the borders of Oman, and also included the island of Awal.Al-Hasa has a dry, tropical climate, with a five month summer and a relatively cold winter. It enjoys the benefit of copious reserves of underground water which has allowed the area to develop its agricultural potential.
Al-Ahsa has been inhabited since prehistoric times, due to its abundance of water in an otherwise arid region.
In 899 Al-Hasa comes under control of the Qarmatian leader, al-Jannabi.

In 1913 Ibn Saud conquers al-Hasa Oasis, annexing it into his principality of Najd.

Small parts of the district lie within the Masovian and Podlaskie Voivodeships.The lakeland was successively part of the monastic state of the Teutonic Knights, the Duchy of Prussia, and the Prussian province of East Prussia. While part of the German Empire, it was the location of the First Battle of the Masurian Lakes (1914) and the Second Battle of the Masurian Lakes (1915) during World War I. In 1945 after World War II, it was placed under Polish administration according to the Potsdam Agreement.

Iguazu Falls is one of the most visited place in Misiones

Iguazu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River located on the border of the Brazilian state of Parana and the Argentine province of Misiones.The name of the falls comes from the Guarani word for "great water." The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu.Iguazu Falls, in Iguazu River, are one of the world's largest waterfalls. They extend over 2,700 m in a semi-circular shape. Of the 275 falls that collectively make up Iguassu Falls, "Devil's Throat" is the tallest at 80 m in height. Iguazu Falls are on the border between the Brazilian state of Parana and the Argentine province of Misiones, and are surrounded by two National Parks.
There are more than 270 falls in an area where cliffs and islets are scattered in a half moon. Apart from waterfalls, the jungle offers a series of alternatives in a dump but slightly fresher environment with a wide variety of animals and plants. Almost 500 species of wild fowl, 80 species of mammals and an immense variety of reptiles, fish, insects and butterflies live in this ecosystem.
Iguazu Falls is one of the most visited place in Misiones and one of the most imposing natural attractions in Argentina, and why not in South America. Together with Nahuel Huapi National Park in Patagonia, it is one of the most frequented tourist sites.


The lovers of adventure traveling can access to more intense circuits.Two thirds of the falls are on the Argentinian side of the river where you can also tour IguazĂș National Park where there are jungle trails and bird hikes. Plan a full day in the park to fully enjoy the wildlife flora and fauna.
The best times to see Iguazu Falls are in the spring and fall. Summer is intensely tropically hot and humid, and in winter the water level is considerably lower. There are hotels on both sides of the river and many tour agencies provide sightseeing opportunities around the area.

Lake Titicaca is a lake Situated on the border of Bolivia and Peru. It sits 3,812 above sea level making it one of the highest commercially navigable lakes in the world.Lake Titicaca in Peru is over 170 kilometers long and lies almost 4000 meters above sea level. It is composed of two nearly separate sub-basins that are connected by the Strait of
Tiquina which is 800m across at the narrowest point.Lake Titicaca is a beautiful and much-venerated sacred lake that lies on the border between Peru and Bolivia.Recently, a large temple was discovered submerged in the lake, adding to its mystery and fascination. A natural spring here runs under the island and appears again in a sacred stone fountain in Yumani.The floating Islands of the Uros people of Lake Titicaca are formed from compacted beds of totora reeds. Walking on these spongy, unstable islands is a strange experience. The
reeds are also used to construct huts and boats. It is believed
that the Uros people originally took to the reed islands of Lake
Titicaca in an effort to isolate themselves from other groups
such as the IncasSunset on the Isla del Sol is magical and best appreciated from
the lighthouse on the highest point on the island at 13,441 feet.
The sun bathes the sacred mountains in bright colors, and
reflects its light in the deep blue of the sacred lake, before
sinking below the horizon.
