Serbia is one of the most popular sites of visit in Europe.

The region features exotic formations described as earth pyramids. Scientists say that they have been formed by erosion.The whimsical rock foundations near the town of Belogradchik in the north-western part of Bulgaria.The Belogradchik Rocks – a group of bizarre sandstone and limestone formation, stretch over 30 kilometers and reach up to 200 meters in height.
Varying in color from deep red to sandy yellow and grey, many of the rocks are named after characters, objects or animals they are believed to resemble.The Davolja Varos pyramids in southern Serbia are still in the running to become one of the New7Wonders of
Nature.Since 1959, Davolja Varos has been under protection of the state and by a 1995 decision of the Serbian Government, it was proclaimed a natural good of outstanding importance and put under the first-category level of protection.Davolja Varos, meaning ‘devil’s town’ is a group of earth pyramids in the Radan Mountains in the southern region of Serbia.Djavolja varos is top level in the New Seven Wonders of Nature electio. They choose the 21 finalists, to be announced on July 21, 2009. The 21 finalists will then be put to popular vote. Voting will continue throughout 2010 and into 2011The final declaration of the New7Wonders of Nature will be in 2011.
